On November 12, 2020, our Law School and the School of Law, University of Surrey held an online academic seminar as part of ongoing cooperation between our two universities in the fields of business, economics, and law. The seminar was organized by LIU Chun (Deputy Secretary) and HUANG Hui (Secretary of Foreign Affairs), and attended by Professor WANG Bencun, Professor ZENG Wenge, Professor HU Desheng, Associate Professor WU Xueyan, Associate Professor WANG Jiang, and Lecturer David J. Devlaeminck. Professor Alex Sarch (Dean of the School of Law, University of Surrey), Alex Seal (Deputy Dean), Professor Veronica Rodriguez-Blanco, Professor Francesco Giglio, and Senior Lecturer Josh Andresen attended on behalf of the University of Surrey.
Representatives from each university presented the basic structure and research direction of their respective law schools. Representatives from the two schools then introduced themselves and their research direction, identifying overlap for potential cooperation. Both schools expressed their desire to explore options for faculty and student mobility between our two schools.
We look forward to greater cooperation between our two Schools in the near future!
