On December 18, 2020, Professor ZENG Wenge of our school was invited to participate in the "CISG 40th Anniversary-China Foreign Trade Contract Legislation and Practice Seminar" organized by the School of International Law of Southwest University of Political Science and Law. The seminar focused on the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods and Contract Legislation and the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods and Its Practice.
On the "United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods" and its practice, Professor ZENG gave a presentation entitled "The Applicability of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) in Chinese Courts". Professor ZENG separately discussed the applicable rules of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods in China, the typical cases of the Chinese courts applying the Convention, the problems with the Chinese courts applying the Convention, and how the Chinese courts will better and more appropriately apply the Convention in the future.
