On March 26, the Asian Development Bank appointed Professor HU Desheng as a consultant for the Bank, assisting with the project "Developing Legislative and Planning Mechanisms for Ecological Protection in the Yellow River Basin”. Professor HU will serve as the environmental law and ecological protection expert and deputy leader of the expert group. The project seeks to realize the flexible ecological protection and safety of the Yellow River Basin, aiming to improve environmental protection law.
This project is a sub-project of the Asian Development Bank’s "Strengthening the capacity, system and policy for high-quality green development of the Yellow River Ecological Corridor", with a total funding of 300,000 USD. Its domestic executive agency is the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. The project’s advisory expert group is composed of 5 international and domestic experts who are selected through a competitive recruitment process.
